We just crossed the mid-point in National Day of Civic Hacking weekend. And has been incredible! Thousands of participants have hacked for change in almost 100 events around the country. Mayors attended in cities like Los Angeles, Baltimore, Louisville, and more. Teams hacked collaboratively across cities. And the first prototypes and projects are emerging.
Now what? Well, do you want a chance to be invited to the White House? To be featured by Intel? To be highlighted nationally? Tell us what you did!
- SUBMIT YOUR PROJECTS AND STORIES. You have until June 30th but you can submit as many times as you want. So tell us what you have accomplished at this point, and then tell us what else you have accomplished. The White House will be selecting a variety of projects and stories to feature at an event at the end of July. If your project is chosen, you will be invited to attend the White House event and share it! National partners and sponsors such as Intel will also be highlighting their favorite projects.
- TAKE THIS 15 MINUTE SURVEY. We want to understand the impact of National Day of Civic Hacking from your perspective. This is a brief but comprehensive survey that will help us do that. We will be sharing the findings of this survey with organziers around the country so we can build even stronger civic hacking communities.
Stay tuned to hackforchange.org for lots of updates throughout June recounting everything that we've started together!
